Starlight Princess Super Scatter
The newest game in the series puts an instant prize on the scatters. What's new in this edition:
- A super scatter can land in the base game. With four or more scatters of any kind, one to four super scatters pay 100x, 500x, 5,000x or 50,000x the bet before the free spins even start.
- Two buys: free spins for 100x, or Super Free Spins for 500x, where every heart is worth at least 10x.
- The ceiling is 50,000x, and the ante bet costs 50% more instead of 25%.

The change that matters: a scatter with a price tag
Underneath, this is still Starlight Princess: the same 6×5 grid, the same paytable, the same 15 heart values from 2x to 500x and the same free spins with a growing total multiplier. What changes is the scatter.
Besides the princess scatter, a gold super scatter can land on any reel in the base game. It counts as a scatter, so four or more scatters of any kind still start 15 free spins. But if at least one of those four or more is a super scatter, the trigger also pays an instant prize, set by how many super scatters there are:
| Super scatters among 4+ scatters | Prize | At a $1 bet |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100x | $100 |
| 2 | 500x | $500 |
| 3 | 5,000x | $5,000 |
| 4 | 50,000x | $50,000 |
The prize comes on top of the free spins, and it is the only route to the 50,000x ceiling: the rules put the chance of the maximum at 1 in 666,666,667 spins, or 1 in 294,117,647 with the ante bet on. Super scatters never appear during free spins.
In our 1,000 test spins a super scatter appeared on the screen 43 times, and it mattered once: on spin 40 it landed with four princess scatters. The trigger paid 5x for the five scatters plus the 100x super scatter prize, and the free spins that followed took the spin to 382.4x the bet, the second-best base-game result in our tests of all five games.

Two buys and a pricier ante
| Option | Price | What you get | RTP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plain spin | 1x | The base game | 96.50% |
| Ante bet | 1.5x | More scatters and super scatters on the reels; buys switched off | 96.55% |
| Buy free spins | 100x | 15 free spins; 4, 5 or 6 scatters land at random on the trigger | 96.50% |
| Buy Super Free Spins | 500x | 15 free spins where every heart is worth at least 10x | 96.49% |
The ante here raises the bet multiplier from 20x to 30x, so every spin costs 50% more, twice the original's 25%. In return its RTP is the highest of the four options, 96.55%, and it more than doubles the chance of the 50,000x top prize.
Super Free Spins remove the small hearts: 2x to 8x can't land, so every heart is worth 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x or 500x. They still only count when they land on a winning spin. In our five Super Free Spins rounds the total multiplier ended between 25x and 59x, yet the results were 39.3x to 158x for a 500x price: big totals need wins to multiply, and many free spins win little or nothing.
That hand-played round shows the other side: with a 97x total, it ended at $640.20 at a $2 bet, so 320.1x. Still less than the 500x it cost.
Replay: Super Free Spins we bought
The best of our five Super Free Spins buys. Hearts of 12x, 20x, 15x and 12x landed on winning spins and took the total multiplier to 59x; the round paid 158x for its 500x price.

Our test: 1,000 spins, ten buys and five super buys
At the minimum $0.20 bet in the official demo. A small sample: read it as a picture of a session, not as the game's odds.
- 28.5%of 1,000 base spins paid something
- 36spins where a heart landed
- 382.35xbest round of the 1,000 (free spins included)
- 93.15xmedian of 10 bought rounds (price 100x)
The ten regular buys returned 98% of their cost, close to what the RTP says to expect over time. The five Super Free Spins buys returned 16%. Five rounds prove nothing about the long run, but they show how much a 500x buy can swing.

Verdict
The most exciting version on paper: an instant prize in the base game and the series' biggest ceiling, at the same RTP. The 500x buy is the place to be careful.
Love it if
- You like the idea of an instant prize: one super scatter in a trigger pays 100x on its own.
- You want the highest ceiling in the series: 50,000x the bet.
- You like choosing how much to risk: a 100x buy or a 500x Super Free Spins buy.
Skip it if
- You plan to live in the Super Free Spins buy: five rounds at 500x returned 16% of what they cost us.
- You dislike paying for the ante: here it adds 50% to every spin, twice the original's 25%.
- You care about the 50,000x headline: the rules put its chance at 1 in 666,666,667 spins.

Questions
How does the super scatter work?
It can land on any reel in the base game and counts as a scatter. When four or more scatters of any kind land and at least one is a super scatter, you get the free spins plus an instant prize: 100x the bet for one super scatter, 500x for two, 5,000x for three and 50,000x for four.
What is the max win in Starlight Princess Super Scatter?
50,000 times the bet. The rules put its chance at 1 in 666,666,667 spins, or 1 in 294,117,647 with the ante bet on.
What is the RTP?
96.50% for plain spins and for the free spins buy, 96.55% with the ante bet and 96.49% for the Super Free Spins buy, according to the rules screen of the official demo.
What are Super Free Spins?
A 15-spin round you can buy for 500x the bet in which every multiplier heart is worth at least 10x. Hearts still only add to the total multiplier when they land on a winning spin.
How much does the ante bet cost here?
50% more per spin: the bet multiplier rises from 20x to 30x. It puts more scatters and super scatters on the reels and switches both buys off.
Can super scatters land in free spins?
No. The rules say the super scatter does not appear during the free spins round, so its prizes only come from the base game.
